Marrakech keeps one of the best-known pilgrim routes in Morocco: the Seven Saints, visited in a set order since the seventeenth century. Imam al-Jazuli, author of the Dalāʾil al-Khayrāt and renewer of the Shadhili path, is among them, with two masters of his line. The Seven Saints Retreat takes the ziyara over four days from one riad, with a day out to Sidi Zouine and its school of Qur’anic recitation; the Nasiri Oasis Retreat sets out from here for the Drâa valley.
Getting there. Marrakech Menara airport (RAK) is 7 km from the medina, about 12 minutes by road.
